What happens when you call
Being locked out is stressful, so we keep it simple. You call the office on 01256 242043, we ask what has happened and where you are, and we give you a price and an honest arrival time before anyone sets off — usually the same day. You get a call when we are 30 minutes away.
On arrival we open the door using non-destructive methods first. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred that means no damage to the lock or the door and nothing more to pay for. If a lock is broken or a key has snapped inside it, we can usually remove the key and repair the lock; if it has to be replaced we carry a full stock of insurance-rated cylinders, nightlatches and mortice locks on the van.

- Lost or stolen keys where the locks need changing straight away
- Doors and locks damaged in a break-in that need making safe, with a written report for your insurer
- uPVC doors that won't lock or unlock, or handles that have stopped lifting

Working hours
We work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Within those hours lockouts and urgent lock changes are fitted in around booked work, and we will always tell you honestly when we can be there rather than leave you waiting. Outside those hours please leave a message or email and we will respond first thing.

If your keys are lost rather than simply left inside, we recommend changing the locks on the same visit — it takes minutes and we carry the stock. We'll also point out anything obviously vulnerable while we're there, without a sales pitch.

How quickly can you get to me?
We work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and fit lockouts in around booked jobs wherever we can — usually the same day for Basingstoke and the surrounding villages. We give you an honest time on the phone and call again when we are 30 minutes away.
Will you damage my door or lock?
Almost never. We use non-destructive entry methods first and open the vast majority of doors without damage. If a lock has to be drilled we tell you before we start and replace it on the spot.
How much does it cost?
We give you the price on the phone before we set off, based on what you describe. There are no hidden call-out fees added afterwards.
Can you prove who you are?
Yes. Our locksmiths carry company ID and we are happy for you to check our Checkatrade profile while you wait. Our vans are deliberately unmarked, so a visit doesn't advertise to the street that a property has a security problem.
