When to change your locks

• You've just moved in. You have no idea how many keys the previous owners, their builders or their tenants still hold. A lock change is the first job in a new home.
• Keys are lost or stolen, especially if anything with your address was lost with them.
• A tenancy has ended and you want to be sure no keys are still in circulation.
• Your insurer requires it. Many policies specify BS3621 mortice locks on wooden doors and anti-snap cylinders on uPVC and composite doors, and will not pay out otherwise.

Lock repairs and key extraction

Not every problem needs a new lock. Snapped keys can usually be removed, seized mechanisms freed and worn cylinders re-pinned. We repair where it makes sense and replace where it doesn't.

After a break-in
