Lock replacement — Just before Xmas (ie 23 or 24 Dec) the lock on our front door fell apart. We contacted BEN Locksmiths who came out the same day and confirmed that the lock was irreparable and they would need to order a replacement. They ensured there was an alternative method to secure the house and asked us to demonstrate that this worked before leaving. Delivery of the new lock was delayed by the manufacturer's Xmas shutdown but they returned yesterday to complete the job. They were really nice to deal with and we were happy with their price. We would certainly use them again.

Ben is a Knight in Shining Armour and I recommend this company 100% — The security system on my front door wasn't locking properly. I called B.E.N. Locksmiths, spoke to a charming lady and she sent the cavalry (well Ben in a very smart van). He identified the problem, did a temporary fix, and recommended the most cost-effective solution. A week later he came back and fitted the new locking system, left everything tidy and left. The invoice was very reasonable. Ben's company works for some very impressive corporate clients yet he still likes dealing hands-on with individual customers when he gets the chance. He also likes proper coffee :)

Door Locks — I needed to secure 3 doors on a new property and a friend recommended BEN. A locksmith visited and discussed requirements then promptly followed up with an emailed quote which included the more expensive option I had asked for. Great advice! — We have had excellent service from B.E.N. in respect of malfunctioning locks over the last year or so but they are not our regular alarm service company. However, not being able to get hold of our regular company B.E.N. responded to an emergency callout to offer advice on an old alarm box which was causing problems. In the circumstances, and as no work was undertaken he declined to accept payment which I thought was exceptional service! Needless to say, very highly recommended, 11 out of 10!

Upvc door lock seized with key in — 2 yr old door and lock, problematic since new, finally seized with key jammed in lock. Ben arrived within a couple of hours, renewed lock and adjusted lock and hinges. Fault shown to be incorrect original installation. Very pleased with work and advice given. The door and lock have never worked anywhere near as well. Very pleased!

Replace back door lock after key had snapped off — I found this company via checkatrade and was enormously impressed. I needed work carried out the same day and needed it to fit around a narrow window which changed after initially booking the job. From the moment I called in I immediately had full confidence. The work itself was carried out fast and to a high standard with some excellent advice for possible future requirement. I'd highly recommend to anyone that needs a locksmith to use this company.

Fixing our window lock that had failed — Ben is thoroughly professional and friendly - he kept us fully informed of how he would fix our locked window, suggesting there would be some cosmetic damage to the paintwork as an inevitable consequence of disengaging the failed lock. As it happens, he was so careful that paint damage was very minimal. Fixed in under 15 minutes! He then proceeded to check and adjust all the window locks in our home to make sure they worked correctly. Would highly recommend as a locksmith service. Payment was quick and simple through Apple Pay too.

Locks changed throughout house — Ben arrived on time, was very courteous and did a thorough job. Some of the house replacement locks had to be ordered and I was quoted they would arrive within 5 working days. I received a phone call two days later to confirm they had arrived and Ben came at 8am the following morning to change the remainder of the locks. Ben explained the workings of the new locks very well. I was very impressed with the service and the quality of work. Would not hesitate in recommending this company.

Replacement handles for inner front door — On his first visit Ben impressed me straight away with his professional and friendly manner. He explained what needed to be done and that the replacement door handles would have to be ordered. He phoned me once he took delivery of the handles and fitted them on his second visit. He did a very good job and took care to clean up as he went along. He also made an adjustment to a back door, at no extra charge and has in fact recently been back to make a further adjustment. He is always extremely courteous and professional.

Out of hours service - locked out — I locked myself out yesterday late evening and a very nice chap came to the rescue. Response was quick, certainly knows his stuff and skillful. Not only did he help to unlock my door but he also helped me to change the split spindle without extra charge. Great service and definitely recommend!

At the time we were still waiting for SOCO to come out, but I desperately wanted the locks changed and Ben came round within ten minutes of phoning him, charged exactly what he said he would charge over the phone, finished the job within minutes and made sure that he was using gloves and did not touch anything that SOCO would need to try and get fingerprints/DNA from.
